MJ-VR410 Displacement Monitor

●  MJ-VR410 displacement monitor is a precision intelligent measurement and control instruments, widely used in electric power, petroleum, chemical and other departments. It can measure and control the displacement of turbine, fan and other rotating machinery by YDYT9800 eddy current sensor. The instrument is equipped with alarm and shutdown control signal output, current output connector which can connect with computer and other equipment. The Monitor uses an 80 × 160 (mm) common chassis, LED digital display, PVC color mask and light touch keys, and it has beautiful appearance, novel style, reasonable structure, simple installation, stable performance and reliable quality.

●  MJ-VR410 displacement monitor is a precision intelligent measurement and control instruments, widely used in electric power, petroleum, chemical and other departments. It can measure and control the displacement of turbine, fan and other rotating machinery by YDYT9800 eddy current sensor. The instrument is equipped with alarm and shutdown control signal output, current output connector which can connect with computer and other equipment. The Monitor uses an 80 × 160 (mm) common chassis, LED digital display, PVC color mask and light touch keys, and it has beautiful appearance, novel style, reasonable structure, simple installation, stable performance and reliable quality. 

 

Main Function 

 1. Axial displacement measurement and display, four digital tube displays, the first digit is the sign bit, it can display "0 ","-"," 1", "-1"

2. The equipment is with alarm function, while the monitoring displacement exceeds the set value, instruction light on the front panel will on and output the on/off signal on the rear panel to protect the monitoring instrument.

3. Alarm and shutoff set value is within the measuring range, user can set arbitrarily.

4. It is equipped with output and RS485 connector which can connect with computer and other instrument..

1. MJ-VR410 displacement monitor range set at 0 ~ 10mm, alarm 1:5.00 mm, alarm 2:8.00 mm

2. If user needs only eddy current sensor, monitor and adjust the rack, we can also supply separately.

Operation Instructions 

1. Indication Light Instruction

1.1 "Alarm 1" indicators: When the measured value exceeds the alarm set value, the lights will on.

1.2 "Alarm 2" indicators: When the measured value exceeds the alarm set value, the lights will on.

 

2. Key Description

2.1 "S" key: this is called "Settings" button, press the button and enter the parameter setting state, set the "alarm value 1", "alarm value 2", press the button, input the password while the upper digital tube show PPP,

Instrument measurement can be verified after entering the verification status.

2.2 "" key: this is called "shift" key, press the button each time, the selected digital tube will move to left for one digit, selected digital tube flashes, cyclic shift.

2.3"▲" key: this is called "add" button, number on the selected digital tube will increased by 1 for every press.

2.4 "E" key: this is called "Confirm" button, press the key after finishing parameter settings instrument enter into normal measurement state once reserve parameters.

1.“Alarm 1” setting: press “S” for twice, “alarm I" instruction light corresponds to the panel will on. The single digit digital tube flashed, the digit will add 1 for every press of “▲” key, value cycling between 0 to 9 until the wanted value. Continue to click “ ”key, select tens digit, the digit will add 1 for every press of “▲” key, value cycling between 0 to 9 until the wanted value. Continue to click"," continue to click “”key, select hundreds digit , the digit will add 1 for every press of “▲” key, value cycling between 0 to 9 until the wanted value. If symbol place show “0”, adjust the number on the panel to “1999”, press “▲” key, panel display “-1999”, then adjust needed value as previous procedure.

2."Alarm 2" settings: continue to press “S” key twice after finishing "alarm 1", "alarm 2" indicator light will on, setting procedures is the same as "alarm 1".

3. After setting "Alarm 2", then click the "E" key to exit and save the predetermined alarm value, enter into normal measurement state.

Adjustment and Calibration 

Prior to installation state of test monitor, monitor should be adjusted and calibrated to avoid the deviation caused by transportation, move, and installation environment change and ensure the proper working condition after installation. Adjustment and calibration mainly test monitor part parameters and compare with the factory parameters, installation can be proceed if parameter are unanimous, if any change proper adjustment can be done according to instruction, please contact with us if you can’t adjust to the factory parameter. 

1. MJ-VR410 Displacement Monitor

 MJ-VR410 displacement monitor amplify the output signal and transfer the signal of YDYT9800 eddy current sensor, realize the function of displacement display, current output, alarm etc, thus realize effective monitoring for the rotary shaft.

Wiring Instructions of Rear Panel for MJ-VR410 Displacement Monitor

Input ground: signal ground; connect with white wire of YDYT9800 eddy current sensor.

Input IN: signal ground; connect with yellow wire of YDYT9800 eddy current sensor. 

-24V:-24V DC power supply, connect with red wire of YDYT9800 eddy current sensor.

Current -: 4 ~ 20mA current output negative terminal, external load ≤ 500Ω. 

Current +: 4 ~ 20mA current output positive terminal, external load ≤ 500Ω.

Alarm Ⅰ: relay output, normally an open circuit between two points, i.e., the resistance is infinite, when alarm Ⅰ lights on, the relay is closed, the resistance between two points is zero. 

Alarm Ⅱ: relay output, normally an open circuit between two points, i.e., the resistance is infinite, when alarm Ⅱ is lights on, the relay is closed, the resistance between two points is zero.

AC220V: AC220V AC power connected.

PGND, Can be connected with the earth, can't be connected with the signal ground.

 

2. System Adjustment and Calibration

 

Install the probe on the displacement test frame, adjust the distance between probe and detection plate be zero, tighten the screws to facilitate the recording, you can adjust the readings on the percentage screw as a full scale value, correspondingly connect YDYT9800 eddy current sensor to the rear panel "-24V", "input to" and "input in" of the monitor, connected to 220VAC supply.Adjust the spacing between measured object and the probe, monitor display in the zero position, continue to adjust the space between detect plate and probe, reading display on the monitor simultaneously changes with analog current output at the wiring terminal of the rear panel. Monitor display 00.00mm, the current output is 4mA, Monitor display +10.00 mm, the current output is 20mA.While adjusting, re-confirm zero position according to site requirement, however, re-confirm zero position have to meet requirement of displacement direction change, always keeping the probe space in the linear region. After re-confirm zero position, adjust the detect plate on the test frame, so the gap will be on the zero-position of the machine. After set up, adjust the space between test plate on the calibration frame and the probe to expand the space wider than any alarm value, check if there is indication on the corresponding alarm indication light on the front of the monitor , if there is corresponding on/off output, output contact is as a on/off amount while alarming.

Monitor Installation 

1. MJ-VR410 Displacement Monitor Installation

Monitor installed in the control room, inserting the monitor to the cabinets from the positive side of the control room, then installs left and right wing panels from the rear then fix by the screw. Connect the input and output wire on the rear wiring terminal of the monitor according to the requirement.

 

 

2. Probe Installation

Eddy current influence range caused by the probe coil is about 3 times as the probe coil diameter, so the detected metal surface should be 3 times as the diameter of the probe. No other metal objects is allowed to exist between the 3 times detected metal surface and the probe, otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy. If above requirements can't be meet, re-adjustment for the whole system is required according to real situation. The metal can't use if the surface is less than 2 times as the probe diameter, detection interval increase while the installation part of the probe enable the axial displacement be the positive value. Please remark when ordering if you need axial displacement be positive and the detected gap reduced.

Eddy current sensor fix on the unit by the frame, shown in Figure 3, frame designed by the user, it should be rigid enough to avoid deformation caused by vibration, the probe should fix on the frame firmly, loose is not allowed.

During site installation, the installation gap between probe and detected metal surface should determine by the output character of the eddy current sensor and the display range of the monitor

Installation should according to the displacement on the product verification books and the installation gap stipulate by the voltage characteristics table. After confirmation of the zero position of the measured displacement machine, calibrated monitor should indicate zero position by adjust installation space when install the instrument.

For probe installation, after equipped with separate power transmission, gap can be confirmed by measure the probe output voltage. Do not twist the eddy current coil strongly during probe installation, do not distort high-frequency cable and disassemble plug arbitrary to avoid damage.
